Darius Mccrary is an American actor, singer, and producer best known for his role as Eddie Winslow in ABC/CBS’s TV sitcom Family Matters, which ran from 1989 to 1998.
Born in 1976, Mccrary began his acting career as a child artist in the 1987 comedy film Big Shots. Then, he appeared in another film, Mississippi Burning, in 1988.
For these two films, he was nominated for Best Young Actor in a Motion Picture- Comedy and Drama, respectively.
Along with the film, Mccrary flourished his acting in the TV series and grabbed Family Matters the following year. This sitcom helped him get recognition and fame. He even earned a nomination for Best Young Actor in a TV Series. When Family Matters ended, he co-starred in the UPN series Freedom.
