Ted Lasso season 4 is the fourth installment of the Apple TV Plus series Ted Lasso, which premiered with its first season in 2020. Filming in 2025, the fourth season has some theory regarding its plot development.
Directed by Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Bill Lawrence, and Joe Kelly, Ted Lasso is an American sports comedy-drama TV series based on a titular character who is a football coach.
Ted Lasso, played by Sudeikis, is an American college football coach recruited to guide a fictional English soccer team, AFC Richmond.
The soccer team’s owner, Rebecca Welton, gained full control over the team after she divorced her ex-husband, Rupert.
Rebecca wanted the downfall of AFC Richmond and to ruin Rupert.
Though the soccer team’s owner hopes Ted will fail the mission due to his inexperience, Ted’s folksy and optimistic leadership helps the team amass unexpected match wins.
All roads have led to this.

As Ted Lasso has another job and left for the United States, Nate, and Beard will coach Richmond in the upcoming season.
Based on their characters, they seem to deal with players’ poaching to bigger clubs.
Besides, the series can take on the role of establishing Richmond Women. Roy Kent may join and coach the women’s team.
Fans should also not be surprised to see Ted joining the USMNT team. The episodes will be filmed closer to World Cup 2026, which will be held in the United States.
There can be some scenes of Ted’s family so that viewers can be more familiar with him.
Finally, Rebecca can be seen sharing more scenes with Matthijs, a Dutchman.
Additional Information
- Phil Dunster, who played Jamie Tart in Ted Lasso, may opt out of his presence for the fourth season because of his conflict schedule with Apple’s Surface and Prime Video’s The Devil’s Hour.
- To date, Ted Lasso has won 34 awards out of 138 nominations, including Emmy Awards and Guild Awards.
