Robert Vernon, aka Tek Knight, frequently appeared in the TV series The Boys and Gen V but was never included in the legendary superhero group The Seven. He joined only The Six, Eight, Nine, and Ten.
Regarding this, fans over reddit and other social platforms have jumped into the discussion of why group The Seven didn’t take Tek Knight to them.
It’s surprising that whenever Vought looked for a replacement member, they randomly selected average heroes like Super-Sonic or Blindspot, even though they had direct access to Tek Knight.
So, the following are the reasons for The Seven rejecting Knight from the team.
Tek Knight is implied to be the most popular hero outside of The Seven
Though Tek Knight may not own great powers as some other supes do, he’s earned a terrifying reputation. He looks like Robert Pattinson from the Batman series.

Also, his brand was strong enough without the Seven, with countless movies in his name, to compete with others.
That’s why Vought kept Tek Knight away from The Seven.
He was extremely destructive and careless
Knight was not gentle with the spine of a woman from the support group while saving her, and it cost her to remain in the wheelchair.
Also, one of the Gen V supes warned that Knight would harm people when he visited campus.
Tek Knight also threatened Cate, who could touch him and control his mind. He demanded to take her gloves off, and if not, he could rip her hands off.
So, Cate avoided testing his patience.
It all depends on marketability
The Seven always wanted to have a wide variety of heroes that appeal to as many demographics as possible. Before Homelander took the group, Vought targeted specific kinds of power sets and tried to establish power diversity.
Let’s take an example: Starlight was less strong than other supes, but, she was an attractive blond-haired white lady from the midwest. She was also conservative-leaning Christian with pageantry experience.
Starlight could also deliver a speech about desiring to save the world. Besides, she was humble, relatable with flashy, pleasing powers that don’t overlap or cross boundaries with anything other members of The Seven can do.
Vought felt the team lacked the fastest speedster, which misfitted Tek Knight. And since Tek Knight is already corrupted, Vought had nothing to worry about him going against their interests.
Homelander thought Tek Knight was pathetic
Though Tek Knight had the unique power and ability to be a super detective with an armored suit, which could make him stand out next to the others in The Seven, there was nothing for Tek Knight to offer, and Homelander wanted the group strongest of all.
Tek Knight could not fly or do lots of stuff, which could benefit The Seven that’s why he was always away from the group.
